Has your kitty been shedding an awful lot?
My kitty sheds about twice a year and that’s when a layer of cat fur sits on anything and everything. So, I figured that it’s time for grooming.
In this blog post, I’ll share a few things about grooming your kitty.
Let’s start.
Its common for cat owners to assume that their kitties don’t need a lot of grooming as they keep themselves clean.
Certain cat breeds and mixed breeds that have thick and long fur need to be groomed on a regular basis to avoid the matting of the fur. Brushing is also important as a clean and well-brushed coat looks healthier (and id fluffier to touch!)
While some breeds that have short fur don’t need to be groomed a lot, it is true that they still need occasional brushing and bathing. You should bathe your kitty as needed, or at least once in 6-8 weeks.
Also, hairless kitties need baths, too!
Long-haired breeds need to be brushed on a regular basis to avoid shedding and matting. You should brush your kitty once a day and start during kittenhood. Cats with shorter fur should be brushed at least once or twice a week.
A good dog brush or cat brush does the job.
