If you own a cat you know that they like to bite when they’re cross with you. In fact, my kitty likes to bite me when I’m bathing her or taking her to the vet!
In this blog post I’d like over how cat bites can be as dangerous as dog bites.
So, without further ado, let’s get started!
- Cat bites are dangerous for both, animals and humans alike
- The reason for this is the bacteria present in the cat’s mouth!
- Pathogenic bacteria such as the Pasteurella multocida lives inside your kitty’s mouth and can cause infection!
- If the cat bite is red, swollen, and painful, it is infected. And, this infection can also spread to your the nearby tissues and can cause cellulitis!
So, its always a good idea to see your doctor (or at least call your doctor!) after you get bitten by your angry kitty!
After all, your safety is of the utmost importance.
