Can you believe that Christmas is this week?

In my mind, we are still stuck in March 2020. This has been a weirdly long (and also a short) year! A lot of people have been asking me if Christmas trees are toxic to cats–in fact, I’ve been reading a lot of these questions on the Internet as  well.

So, this is what I want to address in today’s blog post.

In this blog post, I will answer the question, “Are Christmas Trees Toxic to Cats?” in detail.

Let’s get right into it.

Are Christmas Trees Toxic to Cats? Here’s the Deal

All kinds of Christmas Trees–real or fake–are hazardous for cats as they love to climb them and can end up injuring themselves.

Some species of Christmas Trees can be mildly toxic to cats when ingested.

Other than that, if fertiliser and insecticides were used on the Christmas tree, your cat could have a reaction to it, too.

It’s best to use a fake Christmas tree–of course, it doesn’t feel or smell as good, but is safer when you’ve got furry friends at home.
