I really feel that it is important for all cat owners to know whether or not they cat feed something to your cat.
After all, we don’t want our kitties to get sick!
So, let’s see if your kitten can eat honeydew!
Well, According to the ASPCA, Honeydew melon also known as Casaba melon is non-toxic for kitties!
For those of you who don’t know what the ASPCA is, it actually stand for the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty of Animals which is a non-profit organisation based in New York.
Honeydew melon is known for its sweet taste and it is rich in vitamins and minerals—making it a healthy treat for your kitty friend!
But, there are a few things that you should keep in mind before feeding your kitty some honeydew:
- Feed it in moderation: Honeydew melon contains a lot of fibre which may cause an upset stomach
- Take the seeds out: A lot of fruit seeds contain trace amounts of toxic substances such as cyanid!
- Mash it or cut it into small pieces: Large pieces can be a choking hazard for your kitty!
