I’m back with yet another food blog post!

I feel that it important for all us cat-owners to know exactly what in the pantry is and isn’t dafe for our kitties to consume.

In today’s blog post, I’d like to address the question: “Can cats eat marshmallows?”.

So, let’s take a look, shall we?

I love marshmallows.

I had my first when I was 15 years old (surprisingly late, I know!) and I haven’t stopped having them since….even if they sabotage my diet!

My kitty loves to explore food items but doesn’t really care for anything except the cat feed, chicken, and fish.

However…

The other day I was having some marshmallows and I wanted to share one with my kitty—just to see how she’d like the sweet and fluffy treat. Here’s what I found:

Marshmallows are not necessarily toxic for kitties. But, that doesn’t mean that they won’t cause adverse reactions.

The thing is that marshmallows contain a lot of sugar.

And, sugar is not good for your cat!

So, marshmallows can be given to your kitty occasionally, but don’t make a habit out of it!
