I’m back with another informational blog post today!
I hope you appreciated my previous blog post about funny cat videos, let me know in the comments section if I should do something similar in the future.
In today’s blog I’d like to talk about cats and anxiety.
So, let’s get started!
Cats are known to be “chill”—they are known to be lazy and usually spend most of their time napping.
But, that doesn’t mean that you cat can’t get anxiety!
The stresses that you cat can experience include moving from one house to another, the introduction of a new pet, etc.
So, how do you determine if your cat has anxiety?
Well, take a look at the following symptoms:
- Hiding
- Excessive vocalisation
- Aggression
- Vomiting
- Lethargy
- Eliminating outside the litter box
- Changes in appetite or weight
- Destructive behaviour like furniture scratching
- Compulsive behaviors such as excessive grooming
- Following you from room to room
If your cat is showing any of these behaviours, take her to the vet to determine what the cause of it is!
Do you want more information?
Let me know in the comments section and I’ll make a series of blogs on this topic!
Thank you for the info!
