Halloween Pet Safety Tips: All You Need to Know
Let’s take a quick look at some Halloween safety tips for cats:
- Make sure your cat does not leave the house by keeping her away from all entry/exit points. I recommend keeping your kitty confined to a particular room to be extra cautious.
- Keep your cat away from the Jack ‘o Lanterns and any other open flames. Pets and unattended open flames do not mix well. It’s best to keep them as far away from each other as possible.
- Ensure your cat stays away from the candies and other snacks! These foods contain ingredients that may be toxic for your kitty. Candy, in particular, can contain Xylitol which can be fatal to cats.
- Make sure your cat has proper identification on her. In case she finds her ways out of the house, you know that someone will bring her back or will be able to identify her.
