Signs Your Cat Is Sick

Cats are private.

The like to hide their illness from you and they sometimes even hide from you when they’re sick. 

So, how do you know if your cat is sick? 

In this blog I’ll go through the 4 signs that you should look out for. 

Let’s begin. 

1. Different behaviour: Sick cats hide themselves from their humans and look for small, dark places to hide in.  They also purr when sick. 
   

2. Eating and eliminating patterns: Another sign of is sick cat can be that the cat eats more or less than usual. Other signs could be increased vomiting, diarrhoea, laziness, etc. 
   

3. Changes in gum colour: Another giveaway for illness is the colour of your cat’s gums. They ideally should be deep ink in colour. If, however, they’re pale it means that your cat isn’t pink of health.
   

4. Abnormal temperature: If you notice any of the above signs, check if your cat has fever. The normal temperature for cats ranges between 100-103 degrees. If the temperature of your kitty is above 104 degrees or below 99 degrees then you need to call a vet immediately.
