I’m back with another cat breed post!
In today’s blog I wanted to write about the British Shorthair Cat and introduce you to this cute cat breed.
So, are you ready?

The ‘British Shorthair Cat’ is actually the pedigree version of the British house cat—it has a chunk body, a broad face, and a dense coat.
Following are the key characteristics of this breed:
The general heath of this kitty is good but there are two issues that this breed faces:
- Gingivitis
- Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
The British Shorthair Cat is a mild-mannered one that adjusts well to life with families and with children.
And they’re cool with cat-friendly dogs as well!

We had a lovely British shorthair named Shadow Kitty… he lived to be 21 years old, and was an awesome hunter, but loved snuggles and shoulder time, too.
Sweet pics of the British short hair kitties. They would be fun at small tea and crumpet gatherings.
