You share your living space with your kitty friend but, have you ever wondered what you kitty thinks of you?
Well, that’s what I’m going to share with y’all in this blog post!
One of the differences between cats and dogs are that they view and understand people differently.
While dogs think that humans are…well, humans. Cats think that they’re just another, different-looking, and bigger cat!
Cat behaviour expert, John Bradshaw conducted an experiment in which he observed the behaviour of various kitties—free range cats, shelter cats, and domesticated cats were al included in this study.
The conclusion of this study came out to be that cats don’t change their behaviour based on their interaction with people.
What does this mean?
Well, with dogs, they tend to play differently with cats than they do with dogs or other human beings. They tend to change their behaviour according to the species that they’re dealing with.
Bradshaw’s study suggested that cats treat humans as their own family.
In fact, your kitty could even think of you as her mom!
Kittens kneed their mothers and, sometimes, adult cats kneed their owners. This is probably the cutest thing, right?
Did you know this before? Let me know in the comments section…
I love that you included a research article! Could you tell me the title of that article please? I’d love to read it!
I have head that before. That’s why they meow at us. If you ever noticed, they tend to trill to each other but since they regard us as their ‘parents,’ they meow like little babies at us.
This is the sweetest thing ever! I love seeing and reading these types of articles! Y’all are awesome!
